The Global Health Primer is a one-day course for healthcare providers with little or no international health experience who are interested in obtaining foundational and contemporary principles of global health and international health work. This introductory course aims to provide practical knowledge about health care delivery in low-resource international settings.
The Global Health Accelerator is a two-day course for individuals with some global health experience or Primer alumni looking to expand their toolkit with practical knowledge and skills. The Global Health Accelerator is designed to teach participants how to effectively engage with international partners to improve the quality of acute care around the world.

The University of Colorado College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This educational offering for a maximum of 6.5 contact hours for the Primer course and 14.1 contact hours for the Accelerator is provided by the University of Colorado College of Nursing Office of Continuing Education. Professionals are expected to claim credit commensurate with their level of participation in this activity.
The University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education (CPE). This activity is accredited for 6.5 application-based CPEs for the Primer course and 14.1 application-based CPEs for the Accelerator. To receive CPE, pharmacists must complete the online presentation evaluations and claim CPE on www.ipharmCE.UCDenver.edu. CPE will be uploaded to CPE Monitor within 48 hours of claiming credit.
Cancellations more than 21 days before the first course day can be provided a refund minus a 25% administration fee OR the full registration fee can be applied towards a future course. Cancellations less than 21 days before the first course day can be provided a refund minus a 50% administration fee OR the full registration fee can be applied towards a future course.
Course registrations can be transferred to another participant for a $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of registration can be provided a full refund.
